Kayla, a veterinary technician, attended Veterinary Technician Institute in Pittsburgh, and has been a great asset to our nursing care team and physical therapy programs in all 3 of our offices.

She grew up on a farm and has always had a connection with animals. She particularly enjoyed feeding the goats and cuddling with the baby Holstein and Jersey calves for a nap, as a child. She cannot recall a time when her family did not have a few dogs and a cat around the farm. Kayla was responsible for all the pets’ and cattle feedings, which instilled good husbandry practices and a great sense of responsibility for animal life.

She believes this gave her the passion she has for animals today. She enjoys seeing the progress pets make through physical therapy and rehabilitation and is always willing to jump into the water tank to assist the doctors with the hydrotherapy program.

In her spare time, Kayla enjoys nature trails with her Siberian Husky, Mishka.
